I Have just brought my New Car from BKT ( end of May ),which makes it about Five cars since the Mid 1990's. I have brought the cars from BKT at Stanway in Essex. Why?. The service I have received from these guys are Second to None for OVER 20 Years. They are Friendly, Knowledgeable, Skilful, and Very Helpful. If I have problem they sort it out. Whenever I look to get a New Car, the Sales team, Know about cars and ( for me ) about Financing. I take my cars there every time for my MOT's as well. I DON'T THINK I'LL GO ANYWHERE ELSE THAN BKT.

BKT Motors helped with fully diagnosing an Engine Management Light being caused by the EGR on my Ford Ranger. They diagnosed and fixed the issue which turned out to be a blocked valve. Many other garages would have just replaced the EGR Valve and not tried cleaning the original first! BKT also carried out the MOT on the same day. Top service and very reasonable price, will be my goto garage from now on. Thanks!

Really helpful from the moment you walk in, sent me off on a test drive in a car I had my eye on, no pressure sell at all and then ensured that the car was fully serviced and MOT’d before I collected including putting a new set of discs and pads on the back because they weren’t happy with them without me even having to ask. I needed the clutch changing on my Focus C-Max and BKT came back with the best quote. It was that good, I even had both front tires changed and it still cost less than just a clutch fitting at any other garage. AND they let me use their courtesy car at no extra charge!! It was booked in at MY earliest convenience and they also filled up my oil at no extra cost to me. Great customer service, without question. Car now drives like a brand new motor and I couldn't be happier. I Can and will recommend this garage to anyone, and IL be calling them for any future works. Top job, thank you!!

Listen up - this is not your average garage review, (great service cheap prices etc).
As BKT delivered one of our cars back to us today, I started to reflect that they have been so helpful over the 18 years of living in Colchester that we almost take them for granted. Originally recommended to us by somebody long since forgotten, they have been at the mainstay of all our family's 'fleet' motoring needs. As all our girls grew up & starting driving - from providing routine maintenance + Mot's, to stepping up to the mark delivering speedy repairs when the unexpected happened and you needed the car yesterday, all this continues to the present day!
Now I will add in the friendly excellent service with a nothing is too much philosophy and you begin to see that if you've not used them before, you should be... In fact used to do all my own servicing and repairs, but fair pricing meant it just wasn't worth doing anymore myself, so I left it all to them.
Summing up, it's always difficult finding good local services, Electricians, Plumbers and the like, but if you're looking for a reliable local garage in the Colchester area, then I would highly recommend this business. Try them and you'll never go anywhere else!

I purchased my new MINI from this dealer recently and the salesman was extremely helpful, the car was ready for me to test drive, was cleaned inside and out ready for me aswell. He was fair with his part exchange offer and there was no hard sell. I was able to ask all the questions I wanted and the salesman knew what was what, all the info regarding the car such as history etc was available. I am very pleased with my purchase, I have had no issues with the car , he even did all the tax online for me and made me some new plates as I have a personal plate to transfer over. After checking through AutoTrader, we came across BKT in Stanway. They had a car I was interested in so we arranged to go and see it a few days later. Both the Manager and Owner were very welcoming and very knowledgable. After test driving the car we bought it. We weren’t put under any pressure at all and I picked my new car up a week later. The Manager arranged for the car to have a full service and MOT before I collected it. On doing so, he put a full tank of petrol in and took me out for another drive so he could show me all the gadgets on the car so I left feeling confident. Excellent service and very friendly staff. On arrival BKT Prestige looked to be a very clean & tidy showroom & office. After talking to the salesman, he came across as a very polite & well informed man. The vehicle we wanted to purchase was very clean & well presented & once we'd had a test drive & asking a few relevant questions we bought it. Returning a couple of days later to pick up the car not only had BKT serviced & check it over they also taxed the car FOC & put £20 of diesel in the tank. Overall it was a pleasant & smooth transaction & I'd certainly buy from them again.

BKT, went out of their way to accommodate the days (weekend) and time that I could view the car. It was a mobility wheelchair accessible vehicle for my son and they even arranged for privacy glass to be added by another colleague of his. I was picked up from the station on the day I collected the car and tax / mot were all arranged in preparation too. The car was spotless and excellent value for money. They even phoned the previous owner to ask a question for me about using the wheelchair clamps, it was obvious how well they maintain good relations with past and present buyers.
